Tired with Private Schools....Nonuniform school fees

..This message is not intended to defame anyone, but a mere fact on today's happening.

I have a kid of 4+ yrs old. In 2009-10, had joined her in a near-by school. This school named Bangalore Intl Public School....

a) Collected rs. 30k (non-refundable/non-receipt) fees
b) Promised school monthly tuition fee of rs. 800/- at the time admission
c) Started collection of rs. 1050/- pm when the school started in July 09, without prior information
d) School Dress (avg. quality) collected rs. 2000/- (incl. of two all day uniform, one particular day, 3 pairs of socks)
e) School books rs. 2000/-

This is how the story started....

Recently, to my surprise couple of other things were informed......

f) re-admission charges rs. 4000/-
g) dress color change for academic year 2010-11, no idea yet on prices
h) need to pay Apr/May '10 tuition fees (during which the school declared holiday for children), also they call it as due and collect them in the month of Mar'10

This I am writing to see what our govt. is really doing, when schools are being commercialized without any uniformity in rising school fees.....and other sort money extraction tactics.....

Something hit my mind.....govt. shall come fwd setting it up mandatory for all private school establishments to have a body committee (shall include couple of parents in the committee as members+non-govt. organization), with uniform prices......
